hey guys i just picked up what i think is an 85 lt230s, how do identify year?

bike runs, smokes a little at start up, do you guys use the decomp lever?

i just received left side cover OEM(it was cracked and oil is leaking out), waiting for sprocket cover(should be delivered in a day or so)

i'm missing the entire rear brake assembly, tank, master cylinder, hose to rear (rear caliper is still on bike)

there is this great site vinces cycle and machine shop with tons of parts and upgrades but its shut down, are there any other sites i can check out?

You need to find someone breaking a 230s for the missing bits. Regarding the "consumable parts" it needs, there are aftermarket parts makers like Bronco, All ***** and Arrowhead. Their spares are sold through a generic parts supply system, separate from Suzuki's own parts system, to local ATV repair shops. So most dealers & repair shops should be able to get all available aftermarket parts for the 230s. Here in the UK there are one or two dealers who have an on-line shop as well, I guess there will be many more in the US, some will have shops on eBay.

 

LT230s master cylinder & caliper rebuild kit, Can anyone recommend a manufacturer for these kits?

 

Shindy make aftermarket kits for some machines, don't know if they do one for the LT230s. Their kits are comprehensive and I have not had problems with quality. They are fairly expensive, though genuine Suzuki stuff is usually extortionate, so Shindy will probably still be a lot cheaper.
