2007 Eiger 400 Carb Adjustments
#1
I have a 2007 Eiger 400. The carb finally gave up the ghost. I did not want to bother with a rebuild so I bought a new carb. The new carb seems to need adjusting. I can get the quad to crank if I play with the choke position and throttle. I had thought there was an air/fuel mixture adjustment but can’t find an adjustment screw. I would appreciate advice from some of the Suzuki experts here. Thanks in advance !!

Main jet adjustment, if it has any, is by lifting or lowering the needle in the centre of the dashpot slide, on some carbs the circlip can be put into a different groove in the needle, on some a washer can be removed. Idle mixture adjustment is by a screw underneath the front of the carb, between inlet manifold and float bowl. This is sometimes covered by a blanking plug as you are not supposed to mess with it anyway. If you need to adjust the new carb it would have been easier to clean out the old one. Takes under 10 min to remove float bowl and jets, then blow them and the holes they came from out, with compressed air.
