LT250R Aftermarket Chassis
#1
I have a '92 LT250R and was considering a new chassis for it. I really like the quad, but it does suffer in the handling department as compared to TRX's and my Raptor. I use it for MX riding/racing and was looking for anyone else out there who may have a Lonestar or Laeger setup on theirs and if so how does it work?

Mark Leager makes the best parts out there and they work wonderful, however there are two drawbacks. The first one is price, the Leager chassis will run you about 3,500 bucks, I use his swingarms on my rides because they take the abuse. The other is time, he takes 4-6 months to get things out because of such high demand. In fact they have gone to a strict distributorship in the last year and no longer sell direct. You can still consult Mark or Suzie Leager about products, but you will have to go through CT racing, or Baldwin motorsports for pricing. I just ordered a plus 4 chrome swing arm for the new project Zilla, and it cost me 900 bucks (this does include a new round bearing carrier to get rid of the terrible factory setup) and it will take 4 month to get, but since we are still in the design process for the turbo charger that I want on this Zilla the time does not bother me. If you really want to invest this kinda cash you might want to talk to them about making your front end compadible with the 400ex, this way here you have no problem getting parts, plus they are cheaper, and work better. I do have one question, do you have aftermarket a-arms on it? If not a set of adjustable a-arms really helps take the quirks out of the front end.
