Frame snapped!
#1
well it finally snapped yesturday, i'll upload some pics if anyone wants to see whats left of the front end. right where the shock mount is on the frame just snapped like a twig. what the real question here is can i get a 87 frame to work with my stock parts that i have left over from my 86? i know the engine mounts are different but would it be hard to make it work? plus im getting all new a arms and shocks so i could order that for the 87 frame? how hard would it be to convert my 86 to an 87 frame? whats the major differences in the frame from the 86 to 87 besides the engine mounts and a arm location and shocks???

My 92 has cracked few times up front, no big deal I can weld steel, but I went to change my swingarm bearing this past Sunday and found my swingarm cracked in two places. $50.00 to have it heliarced isn't to bad though. I would suggest repairing you frame as oppossed to replacing it.

86 suzuki LT 250r (broken frame) and my new G ride the awsome 86/87 honda trx 250r! reason i say 86/87 honda is because its an 86 frame with 87 engine and swingarm.

The 86 engine will bolt right into the 87-92 frame, except you'll have to make front motor mounts. On the 85-86 there is a bar running straight down in front of the engine and on the 87-92 that is missing, everything else lines up.
