Quadzilla or Quadracer for weekend fun?
#1
I am a weekend rider who rides logging roads, fire roads things like that.
I am considering these two bikes.
88 Suzuki Quadzilla 500, 2 stroke, exc shape, PSI pipe, Nerf bars, Realtor tires, $4500obo CDN
or
92 Suzuki LT 250quad racer, 6spd manual, yellow & blue, good seat & plastic, spider trax tires, great cond, $3200
I know they were racing bikes when new but I want something used so as not to break the bank but I still want some power!
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,

Six Speed???? I dunno... anyways If your riding logging roads and areas like that, then the 500 would be great. If you were riding tight twisty places then the 500 would probably be a handfull (but much more fun in my opinion!). I would say the 500 sounds the best deal out of the two of them. The power is just sooo much fun and it never bores you. Our 250 is also great so you probably will have a blast either way. If your good with your maintenance and you look after your ride then go with the 500. It will NOT disappoint
hope that helped dude

I would say to go w/the 500 as well. The 500 is actually built a lot better than the 250 in my mind. The frame is much stronger (the 250's are prone to cracking) and the suspension is far better also. Plus I like the big wide stance for extra stability. I'm not ******* the 250, I like them as well. I had one and my friends still have them, their great quads, I just like the 500 better. Either one I'm sure you would have fun on though.

So you folks so go with the 500 eh? hmmm
what about maintenance. I don't have the room to be working on my quads. I do servicing myself do when it gets to mechanical stuff I gotta farm it out. Are these bike expensive to maintain?
Is it wiser to buy a new sport quad?
thanx in advance

Trader! Get this trash off our forum!.......... That's ok, that gives us Zilla riders one more person to beat. AH, I'm just pickin on ya. The R's are good machines. Second best machine ever made next to a Zilla. Have fun on it.

ltracerx did you see the 250R that was on ebay with the LT500R engine it a few weeks ago? It was bad! I don't know if I would trust the frame holding up to the zilla's power and vibration though. I know a lot of people who have problems breaking frames on their R's with the regular Honda motor in it. It was still cool though. I have also seen a few CR500 motors in 250R chassis. The only problem is that the non-counterbalanced engine vibrates SO bad that no one can stand to ride the thing. And they vibrate things apart and break stuff. Cool thought though.
You know that in the back of some wearhouse or some Honda big wig's garage there is a 14-15 year old prorotype TRX500R. Wouldn't that be sweet to take a ride on? BUT, Honda never had the b@(($ to build it, Suzuki did. And I'm sure glad they did.
