This past week I ran across a nice set of DG Krome Lite nerfs (used) for a 400EX that I thought with little or no modifications would probably fit on my 250R. So I bought them and when I went to put them on I realized that no part of these nerfs was even close to fitting on the R. The 400 has the footpeg bolts in line with each other and the R has one about an inch higher than the other. Also the frame gets narrower up front where the 400EX apearantly does not, so the u-bolt holes are a mile off. What does this have to do with anything you ask. Becuase with out as much as looking at a saw or a grinder I bolted these 400EX nerfs directly to my LT500R. So if anyone runs across some used nerfs on ebay or something for a 400EX, with a little pulling and stretching they will bolt on your Zilla. Just letting yall know.

Hey that is helpful dude. The nerfs on my zilla had been mounted incorrectly. the central bar across the chassis was mounted under the rails! ive started bending it to suit but its not looking so nice hehe. Ill keep an eye out for some 400ex bars. thanks dude.

Do they not interfere with the kickstarter? I had some that did and that's why I don't use them now.
