well now that all the rumors have been confirmed, we are once again disappointed in the manufacturers.
will any manufacturer come out with a current technology 250cc 2-stroke race quad? will any have the nads? a LARGE number of us wish for it, and would line up in droves for it, but as of yet... nothing has made it to the showroom floor.
i wonder how hard it'll be to put a RM250 engine into one?

dual sporter, thanks to the nature *****, honda is stoping production of all their two stroke dirt bikes. the snowmobile manufacturers are going to have to stop production of two stroke snowmobiles in the coming years as well. The likeliness of a two stroke engine from the japaneese manufacturers is dismal. If anyone, expect one from bombardier, they have a new Rotax 250 coming out to compete with the CR 250, YZ 250, KX 250, and RM 250 go cart engines. There is a good chance they will consider putting it in a lightweight pure MX chassis... I SAID CONSIDER.

Dual Sporter, I hear ya brother. You haven't heard of that BS, because it is BS. Honda is not stopping production on any of their 2stroke bikes and neither is any snowmobile manufactuer. The coming regulations will either make certain machines exempt by labling them "CLOSED FREAKIN COURSE" (Don't any of you pay attention!!!) or by employing clean burning DIRECT INJECTION on bigger 2stroke engines such as the ones in snowmobiles. Lots of people take the hand of the person in front of them and do what they do and say what they say. 4strokes aren't "Where its going" and no body is going to take your 2stroke away. The hopes of a new 2stroke quad are pretty dismal, but if you want a 2stroke MX bike or Snowmobile kick back and pick the steed of your choice, they aint going anywhere.

Go to the Gov't EPA website. They are trying to pass a law for emissions for atvs and dirtbikes. It will be similar to what California has now. If it goes as planned 2006 will be the last year a new 2-stroke quad or bike could be bought. They are even doing this with boat motors. You will still be able to buy the used 2-strokes quads though. So if you like 2-strokes buy them before they eliminate them. I am planning on buying a Blaster next year for a cheap toy.
