What is the new zuki gonna be competing with?

Are we talking in the same class as the 400ex, or the raptor. There both big bores but its a commonly known fact that it takes work to make a 400ex beat a raptor so is the new zuki gonna be that way i hope not. I want this thing to make a raptor eat dust lol no offense to raptors.

I was hoping for a quad to beat all quads...but the raptor at 660cc will have the new suzuki (as painful as it is for me to say) in IT'S dust trail I have always been a big suzuki fan

Juggalo,
After reviewing the stats on the bike vs. the QS Z400, the quad is de-tuned from the bike in the form of a smaller carb (36mm vs. 39mm). I would have to guess that the more restrictive carb will cut the 38 rear wheel hp down to around 30-32 hp on the quad. I would still buy the new Suzi. I have always been a fan of Suzuki until they dropped all of their sport machines. Now that they are back in the market, I have a renewed interest. Also note that this is only a Quadsport. There could be more and BIGGER to come after Suzuki and Kawasaki get the ball rolling with their partnership.

You guys really missed the boat. This Zuk has a smaller POS carb. The bike has a FCR carb. This carb is junk. It has lesser compression and it's going to have to have a different designed head pipe and more restrictive exhaust. And not as aggressive cam grinds All this adds up to alot less power. And with the coating on the cylinder wall....means no sleeve. What's that mean you ask??? No overboring! Sorry, this thing will not compete with a 400ex. You'll have to buy 2 cams, a $500 carb, new exhaust and a higher compression piston to get it to run. And with the shorter stroke, your not going to get alot of torque out of this thing. You'll rev faster and higher, but that's it. I expect the first aftermarket company will increase the stroke on one of these and do the above mods. Then you will have a killer machine. But, prob. $3,000 later.
