Hard starting LT500R .

Will it start at all? Didn't you just have it apart? Mine did the same thing, had good fire and was getting gas but wouldn't run. I discovered that my crank key that holds the flywheel on the crankshaft had sheared. Other than that, I don't know.

Yes I did just have it apart and it started and ran great the carb was perfect before I even cleaned it but I did anyway and it ran great for about a weekand now its very hard to start. It usually starts on the second or third kick. But now it takes forever to start it if it starts at all.

When you check the reeds, make sure you completely remove the cage for a close inspection. Too many people simply remove the intake boot and look down at them from the backside. Unless a large chunk of the pedal has actually broke off, this inspection technique does very little good. Make sure the reed pedals lay flat against the cage in all areas.
Due to the recent teardown, I would suspect that the reeds are not the problem. I would guess your problem can be traced to something concerning the rebuild. What exactly did you do to it? Did you have the stator plate off? If so, it could have spun slightly (it has some freeplay and an alignment mark) after some use. This will cause the same symptoms as a broken flywheel key as long as the flywheel only spins slightly from its original position. I like to use a small amount of liquid gasket or medium locktite on the three stator mounting screws.
The more details you give on your rebuild, the more likely I am to track down the culprit.
