I just got a Zilla and want to know what year it is, the frame says LT500RH, is this the 87 model? The guy I got it from said 89. There is no motor so I couldn't tell by the head studs.

The a-arms on the '87's were made of rectangular tubing, the '88-'90's were made of round tubing. That should help tell you whether it's an '87 or not, if it is one of the later models I can dig out my book and get the final number "H" and see what it is for ya.

 

I went to offroadhaven.com, the H model is an 87, and the upper A-Arms are rectangular. Thanks guys.

 

Hey 2strokesrule, I posted a topic called "You won't believe this crap" and you replyed to it, now I can't find the post anywahere, I searched for it but nothing.

 

I don't remember it, maybe the webmaster pulled it due to content

In my experience, the search engine on this site is useless. It is, by far, the worst I have ever used. It needs to be redesigned to recognize and match words or phrases more accurately.
