Hi. I sripped my a-arms and found the bearing needles broken in small parts. Everything else looks fine. I dont know what is supposse to be in each end. I need to know how many bearings are supposse to be in each end of the a-arm and which number or size if you know. I think that each end use a seal at each side. Is that right?. Im planning to go to a bearing shop to buy this parts.

Thanks

there is one bearing in each a-arm, it has a rubber seal at each end, followed by a thin metal ring which sits inside the outer seals. There is a metal sleeve that fits inside all of this and the a-arm bolt goes through this sleeve. I am in the process of replacing all the bearings on my 500. YOu may want to try Yamaha/Susuki of Arizona. I got the OEM bearings from them for just a few $$$$$$$ more than the bearing suplier in town quoted me. I think it was less than $80 for all of them.

NO! different size from top to bottom. I bought the bottom bearings from an after market supplier, but had to buy from suzuki for the top ones...make sure you are sitting down when he tells you the price!!!!

I paid $400 for Pivot Works A-arm, swingarm, and the big linkage bearing, so aftermarket bearings aren't much cheaper.....

I recommend buying replacement bushings from RAD Racing for $53.00 bucks and forget about it. They just pop right in there, too.

Slinger , Where did you found the RAD Racing Bushings for $53?. In the magazine the cheap is $5.95 each, and $5.95 x 16 bushings = $95.20. Where did you got it?

Do you have an '87? Then we're talkin' about just 8 bushings, four bottom and four top. If you have a December 2001 issue of DirtWheels you will find RAD Mfg.s ad on page 34. I ordered mine from them for around $65. or $70.00 and the saleslady gave me a discount ($53.00 total cost) stating that they did this when someone bought a complete set. The things are so easy to install, too. I love mine.

I see that you have a '90 model, so that would be just four more bushings. Call and see what they tell you, can't hurt.
