got a couple 1990 lt250r questions
#1
I just bought a 1990 lt250r last weekend. When I start it up and take off, first gear lags a bit and kinda sounds like it's boggin out. After I run it for about 30-60seconds everything runs perfect and smooth. Does anyone know what could be causing this?
Also, Clymer makes a manual for 1986-1988 lt250r. I thought the lt was unchanged from 87-92? Will this manual be the same for my 92? If not, anyone know where I can get one?
Thanks

i always warm my '91 up at least 5 minutes before riding it. it it vital to the life of your engine that you do this. liquid cooled 2-strokes will cold sieze if you don't.
when warming it up don't give it full throttle, and try not to keep it at any specific RPM for any period of time.
do plug checks to see if you're jetted properly.
as for teh manual working, yes it will. the 88-90 LT's are identical, the '91-92 rear suspension changes siginificantly and you will need a factory manual for specifics on it.
