I have a blue 93, I know someone
with a blue 92, and I have a
brochure from 97 with a blue one in it. I know the "King Quad" decal on the side of the tank changed fairly often. Do you happen to remember anything about the decal?

Hey Mudman, just get the VIN# off of the frame and call your local suzuki dealer. They should be able to tell you what year it is in a few seconds.
If it is relatively new, they should have it on their computer.

MudMan, Im going to attempt this against my better judgment. Your KQ will have a 16 charter serial # stamped into the frame, Find it. The first eight charters should be JSAAK42A...The very next letter indicates the year of manufacture.
1991=M, 1992=N, 1993=P, 1994=R, 1995=S, 1996=T, 1997=U, 1998=V 1999=W. I was just kidding about you trying to locate the S/N. Its stamped on the rear frame just to the left of the exhaust pipe if looking at the machine from the rear. Hope this helps. BTW..The last seven numbers will be 210000,,,etc. Let me know what you find out. Their are other small differences from year to year on the KQ that would be a give away but this is a sure way to tell (Unless the S/N has been ground off your machine LOL)

I think its about a 94 because there was one used at a local dealer not too long ago.

Thats really BAD, That someone would own a King Quad so long and only ride 200 miles a year average. Glad you found the info you were looking for. The 95 is great.
