Traded my RM 250 for a Vinson yesterday. Finally found a dealer that knew something about the Vinson and wanted to deal. Right now my Vinson has 1 mile on it and I can't wait to put a few more on it today.

I will post my thoughts after I spend some time on it today.

Phoneguy,

you'll be happy with the Vinson. I was out yesterday riding with a some friends and we had a great time. The ground was frozen with ice under about 1/2" of mud. I had my Vinson sideways at 30 mph when one of the rear wheels caught a berm and spun me around in a 360. What a ride. If it wasn't for the ice under the mud, I would have been hurting. The solid axle helped out a lot too. I traded a 500 Sportsman for the Vinson and don't regret it a bit. It sure is nice to be able to have a controlled slide around corners.

Congrats on the Vinson purchase. I've been doing a little plowing with mine this winter. I bought it in October and have 235 miles on it. I hope you're happy with it.

I took my KQ out today with my girlfriend and rode about 25 mi. in below freezing temps. up to the mountains to around 7800 ft. Together we both weigh about 300 lbs, and had carried a lot of gear in the packs. The KQ hauled our butts up in 4WD, low range with no problem. We rode mainly on the packed snowmobile trails but got high-centered in the soft stuff a couple of times. I just put it in 4 wheel lock and super low and backed right out. Damn it gets cold when the sun goes down.

We saw a flock of at least 50 wild turkeys (no kidding) by someone's cabin as we were driving out. This was about 5:30 p.m. There were about 7 roosting in a tree and the rest were on the ground. The Fish and Game division gives the cabin owners food for them so they can feed them. We also saw a couple of moose at different points along the ride. Didn't see any deer though, they must have moved lower.

All in all, a good, safe, day.

Mark

I've been testing a Vinson for the past few months, what a machine. Fun, fast and powerful, thats how I discribe it. I'm now waiting for a plow and winch for the Vinson, I can't wait to see how it plows.. The unit always holds up to my expectations..
