Speedometer?

I was thinking of installing a speedo on the zilla.. Anyone tried this? What did you use?

Somewhere in an old issue of Dirtwheels there was something about using a bicycle speedometer, but that's all I can remember.....Hopefully someone can elaborate on this for ya.....Latah....

You can use a digital bike speedometer. They are usually setup by epoxying the magnet to the breakrotor, and the reciever on the caliper mount somewhere. They are calibrated by measuring the tire and entering the number into the computer unit. A kit designed to mount it to ATV's can usually be found on ebay. Also, Trail-Tech makes an ATV/Dirtbike Specific digital speedometer, but i'm not sure if they have version out for the 'zilla yet. I'm sure you could adapt one from another model very easily though.

I put one of the Bell bike speedos on my 'Zilla. I got it from Wal-Mart for about $20.00. Eight different functions on the model that I bought: top speed, avg. speed, odometer, so on and so forth. It is easy to install too, just glue the magnet on the inside of the rim and the sensor on the brake caliper.
