Sportsman 400 vs. Kodiak vs. Eiger
I think the Polaris would be able to go further places under certain circumstances simply because of the added Ground Clearance of the IRS, I think the Sportsman and the Kodiac(if the 450 is the one your talking about) would go further than the Eiger due to the Diff Lock feature, which nowadays should come on any 4x4 Utility or sport machine!!! The Eiger would still be a fun machine to ride though( not really a big fan of its looks, but thats just my opinion)!

I have always been a big fan of the Suzuki. I was looking at the Eiger too, then I found a good deal on the Vinson, otherwise I would be riding the Eiger right now. From what I have read and heard from other Eiger owners, it's an excellent machine for just about everything.
Is the diff-lock that big of a deal? Mine seems to go great the way it is.

I've only had one time when I was going up a snowy mountainside when I wished I'd had a diff lick. But I don't think it would have helped, I'd only have 4 wheels spinning as I slid down the hill (backwards). My buddy on his Prairie (diff locked and 589s) was sliding down too. (backwards!)
