KTM got out of the quad business when it canceled plans to further develope the Husaberg "Enforcer" 2 years ago.

The quad featured on dirtwheels web-site is just another "one-off" custom race quad and not anything that was built by KTM.

I don't see why KTM won't get into the quad market, all of there bikes haul a$$ that I've ridden or seen in action, and I'm sure they could build a great handling quad to mate up with the 520 EXC(This one has the 5 speed and E-Start, while the SX doesn't, I THINK) or there 250 SX bike. Well, maybe it will happen someday, but not in the near future probably.

 

I've been talking about the KTM 520 engine in a quad chassis since the day I learned of it's existence! But my friend has bigger and badder ideas than that...

The 380cc 2 stroke engine they offer would be the Don Mega of all racing quads, it would KEEL the Banshee AND THE ZILLA and ask for more...

That quad is just a one off. Can't you tell by the stickers, seat cover and plastic?????

Honda advertises on this site so they might have relations... Keep that in mind... Suzuki does too, but if this announcement's about zuki I'll be sorrowly dissoppointed in the writers. lol... There's no way it is though... We've all seen and heard and even sat on that quad... They're talking about something brand new.

I thought it was Polaris, but now I'm not sure... Do they advertise on this site??? I don't know... Maybe it is Honda... That would be INSANE... But don't count on it.

Take a look at the letters which have been censored. It has 5 letters in the first part and 5 in the second part. So what manufacture uses 5 letters in the model and 5 letters for the company name???......

I hope its polaris just because it will be one more manufacture in the sport quad industry.

 

like the thread in the honda forum suggests i think its the Rincon. I would be extremly upset if it is the z-400......we all know about that one so why all the secrecy and hype. If it were a 450/650ex i would be floored that all the rags haven't gotten a shot of it yet.

Another option it may be is the kawi 650 sport. We all have seen that one spy pic of it, they are a major manufactuer, and it would be radical in it's class.....but i ain't holdin my breathe........it's the rincon.

 

I'd vote its about the Suzuki................. I guess we'll find out.

They are both building sport quads. The 400Z has already been let out of the bag I think we're about to see something else. If KTM builds that 520. I may have to buy NEW and give Zilla a companion.

I have my doubts about it being the Rincon. First of all, the details have been released about this machine already. No surprises here. Also, if this event is in the dunes, it will more than likely be a sport machine being showcased. It could very possibly be the new Honda sport machine, or the other sport from Suzuki that has been speculated many times on the forums.
