My one friend has a friend who has a LT250r in really good condition
not sure of the year. The thing am wondering is any companies make aftermarket frames for them? I am wanting to race some mx this summer
and I know they are the best for mx like the honda 250r's. Or would I
have to have it custom made if so it wouldn't be hard I know the people that can do it.

Lonestar use to make them, but I am pretty sure they don't anymore. Anyway, if your friends have the capabilities, and it turns out to be a better than stock frame, your friend could probably sell them to LT owners. If his LT has a T shaped seat, it is probably a 87-92, if it is normal shape like a 250R or similar, it is probably an 85-86. If the seat cover is camo and T-Shaped, it is a 91-92. Also, ask him if it has a power valve, I am pretty sure the 85-86 LT's didn't have them while the 87-92's did. Now maybe you can identify the year.

there is a sticker on the left side i believe on the frame kinda near the footpeg. it will tell the date it was made. if you can afford an aftermarket frame iwoulf buy one for a 250r and modify it to work with the lt engine. it might be kinda hard since the pipes go on different sides but anything is possible. i've always likes the quadracer engine better than the honda engine but the hondas always had the frames and suspension. a 250r with the LT engine would RULE!
