which shocks for LT250R?
#1
i'm going to be ordering a new pair of front shocks sometime very soon for my '91 LT250R that already has +2" A-arms.
i know works performance offers them, double and triple rate, with or without rezzies, chromed etc...
what are opinions of them?
also, does PEP, TCS, custom axis, elka, ohlins, or any others make them for the LT, and what are some opinions of each?
right now i'm leaning toward double rate works w/ rezzies... maybe triple rate.
i ride dunes, trails, some MX(plan on more... once i have the shocks) & weigh 165 with gear.... my riding style has become steadily more aggressive and it's time the machine performed better.
thanks,
Andre

I have a 92 with Bergard +2 arms and works dual rates, I didn't notice that big of a difference from the stock shocks, but I put the shocks on 2 months before the arms. It all depends how much you want to spend PEP's will set you back $500-600 my works cost $289.00 from Hi-Tech

Double rates have two sets of springs, that have different spring rates, and tripples have three sets of springs. So basically you can have a soft set of springs that take up the little bumps, but when they compress there is a heavier set of springs to take the big bumps.

I have a set of dual rate works with adjustable compression rezzie's that are having the oil and new seals put in. They work great and look like new. I would sell them for $400. Dual rates with rezzies are more than what I am asking for these that have adjustable compression. That way when you are trail riding or dune riding you can adjust them so they don't have as much compression resulting in a softer ride and when you are MX riding or jumping crank the compression up. If you have any questions just let me know. Thanks
