FMF pipe on Quadzilla
#1
How are you guys making out with pipes on your 500's? I heard that having a power valve on the 500 you don't need a pipe since the valve automaticaly re-adjusts itself to the different RPM's thus eliminating the need for a pipe? I have an FMF gold series pipe that came with the quad when I bought it, but never took the time to install it thinking that it would not make much difference with the power valve! Any input will be appreciated.

I know I read on here awhile back on which pipe was best, and everybody that had a Paul Turner or LRD said it made a big difference over their previous pipe (FMF, DG, or what have you-I don't exactly recall), so I'm sure your FMF pipe will make a noticable difference over the stocker....I say try it......
That is interesting about the pipe and power valve though........

The stock pipe is a turd, put on that FMF and you'll notice a difference. The exhaust valve the Zuk has, merely changes exhaust Chamber Volume (with RPM) which helps with the transition between low end and top end.. The pipe will make a significant difference. I run an FMF on mine, and am seriously considering a Paul Turner or the LRD.
The LRD claims an additional 10HP over the stocker... The jury is still out on that one.
