Hi, My father-n-law just bought a 99 King Quad and it has a plow on it. He wants to put a winch on to operate the blade. Does anyone know if you have to use a specific mount? or should any mount fit and work with the plow? I have heard some mounts dont fit the best in conjunction with using a plow??? So, anyone with plows and winch to operate it on there King Quad let me know your set-up! Thanks

I think any behind-the-bumper winch mount could be rigged to work; an internal spring brake is handy for snowplow winch applications (helps prevent the blade from slipping). Wonder if any winch manufacturers provide mechanical brakes standard? (smiley faces).

I have a cycle country 48" plow and a superwinch x1 on my '99.

This set up required a special mounting bracket. I had to wait a couple of weeks last year as it was on back order.

I don't remember the part number off hand, but any cycle country dealer should be able to look up the part number.
