How many people have a z-400 on order?
#3
I have a deposit on one and 4th on the list. I've been told early April I should see it but of course the number they get in isn't guaranteed. I parted out my 250 Quadracer for it. If for some reason I have to wait till fall to get a Z400, I will be buying a DRZ400 and then get a Z400 maybe a year later. I've been wanting a DRZ400 for a couple years now and would like both it and the Z400 but can't afford both upfront. One toy at a time I guess....

No one knows what the HP numbers are yet. Need a Z400 to test before throwing out numbers. Based on the specs, it doesn't look to be detuned so I would say 40 max, maybe a little less.

I put my name on my dealers list in October of last year and I'm extremely anxious to receive the first one that he get's. I currently ride a Honda 250r right now but that's on the chopping block real soon. I think 35 horsepower stock is a good guess.

There are 2 types of DRZ's. The dirt model has 39 stock and the street model has around 34-35 stock. The Z400 quad has most of the same parts as the street DRZ so I would say 35hp tops, if you put a FCR carb and thinner base gasket from the dirt model, you would be closer to the 40 mark! And it looks like the rev limiter is set lower then it was on the bike too, from 10000 down into the 8000's somewhere.
