what does everybody run for rear tires on there zilla, i am running bearclaws on the rear and i don't think they are the right tire for my machine. i don't think they get enough tread to the ground, i was thinking of going to something like a maxxis razor, wider and flatter. any suggestions?

Get some 18in. grooved turf tamers, haha just kidding, 20 inch Razr's would probably be good.

You didn't say what conditions you ride in. I love my Maxxis Alltraks. They wear out slowly and hook up well but don't powerslide very well as they tend to stick, unless you gas it hard. Turftamers are only good for motocross, as are Razr's, but Razr's are much better all around tires.

If you didn't know, I was kidding. Isn't it snowy all the time in Alberta? Maybe you should get some cheng shin ice tires.

no, it isn't always snowy here in alberta. from the end of march till the end of october it is usually very nice and dry here, almost to dry.

as for the conditions i ride in, well lots of shale and rock, muskeg, dirt, sand, gravel etc.

Maybe something like Bandits would be good, I rode a Banshee with some and they seemed to be decent all around tires.

I have to reccomend Bandits I have them on my zilla and they never seem to show any tread wear they are super hard though and make the ride only a bit rougher and they are pretty heavy but this doesnt matter on the zilla though. Thay are a good all round tire slide well, have good foward traction and very stiff sidewalls I love mine.

I've been running Titan Fast Trekker 18x11x10. They hook up really well on hard packed dirt.
I ran the Maxxis All Trak before those, and they seem to hook up pretty good also!

go with some 22" Holeshot XCT's for extra ground clearance and excellent traction !

I run 22X11X10 Fast Trekkers. I absolutely love them! I usually wear out a set every summer, so they do wear quickly. They are one of the cheaper tires (Especially if you get them from Rocky Mtn. ATV) so that doesn't hurt as bad..
They have good traction in a multitude of conditions. (Good accel. and braking along with excellent side bite)

I would not recommend the bandits! I've had a set of the kevlar belted. They do wear like iron, but the side bite is pathetic! My machine handles MUCH better with the Trekkers! (You pay more for these too)

Holeshots are good, along with GBC shredders... Ran them both.

The mighty 500 has a tendancy to tear the hell out of tires, so I buy the cheap ones!

Just my $.02....
