thoughts on Quadzilla 500

I posted this in the Honda forum also.
I am forced to sell my loved 440, as I need the money I can get out of it.
However, I will be able to buy a quad in the 3000-3500 dollar range soon.
There are plenty of Zilla's around here in that pricerange, as well as 250R's and such.
My last trip to Glamis (yesterday) made me a comp hill lover.
Raced a few times with my 440, and lost only once to a modded LT250 by one bikelength. (Of course I COULD have challenged the modded Banshee's.. haha)
Anyway, I think I would love a good, clean Zilla.
I love the wheelie-ability of my 440, would a Zilla be able to pull 2-3 gear wheelies with a little clutch, and body language?
How about comp hill... could I challange a few modded Banshees with a stock Zilla? how about a modded Zilla? How decent is the suspention and manuverability? Jumping? are they heavier than my 400? or slightly lighter? My brother has a SUPER clean 86' LT250 and I just love the way it feels. It feels like it weighs nothing. Similar feeling with the Zilla?
Thanks for any advise.

If you get a zilla you WILL NOT be dissapointed trust me it has loads of power stock and mod it some and it will outrun most anything except highly modified quads its very wide and long stock so its very stable and a good handling quad and there is this certain feeling of just owning one you will love all your friends will envy you it is very light ,as big as it is, and feels pretty light when jumped you will not be dissapointed. Just feel lucky you have plenty 250rs and zillas to buy near you I searched forever to find one and finally had to buy mine from a guy in Bama

Hey guys,I'm new to the forum, but I sure have gotten alot of info from it.Hey Mr350x, I just bought my Zilla about 6 weeks ago and I absolutely love it.It doesn't feel as big as it looks, and it certainly does not lack power !! I'm still getting used to it.I'm used to a 250r and my XR600 so the big 2-stroke is a whole new ball game for me.I haven't run up against anything else yet,but I'm sure it's coming !!I'm sure alot of these guys can tell you more than me,but I have no disappointments yet.Good luck in your search !!

Well I'm sad to see that you are getting rid of the Honda but as far as a replacement the Zilla is just plain SILLY!!!! That machine is crazy but awesome!! My buddy, Chapy, has a 90 Zilla with a Paul Turner engine and I would dare to say that it is the fastest Quad I have ever see. As far as power I saw Chapy mash the gas on pavement and it just stood still. The tires broke loose and he was spinning ON DRY PAVEMENT!!! Unbelievable. S$%$ really starts to happen in 2 & 3rd gear. By the way did I tell you that he has a twist throttle with a quarter turn? The guy he bought it from was clocked going 107 mph!!! I guess if you want speed the Zilla is the BEAST!!!

I dont want to get rid of my Honda at all.. Ive put lots of work into it, and I LOVE it.
Problem is, I owe 2500 to my credit card and the zero interest runs out this month. I need to pay it off. I am looking into an 88 Zilla for a replacement. (3000$) Looks super duper clean, with new clutch, cylinder sleeve, piston, shift forks, paddles and mohawks... we'll see what happens.
