LT230S jetting?
#1
Could someone tell me the stock jetting for my 1987 Suzuki LT230S Quadsport? Also, is an aftermarket exhaust system worth the money? I am already running a Uni filter with two one inch holes in the airbox lid. Other than that the quad is stock. Thanks a lot.

Stock LT230S Jetting is 112.5 on main and pilot is 20. I have an LT230s also and have the Xcellerator pipe and K&N filter with top lid off and runs great now that I rejetted carb. Once I put that pipe on it started popping like crazy. Cut out when I would floor it and crackle down shifting. Now I found that a 120 main and 22.5 jet is ok(might try one size bigger just for poops & giggles). And here in CA I ran the needle two notches up. Plug it black but dry too. White plug means lean and wet plug is rich. Now I got less popping(maybe just occasional overloading) and more top end than ever before. My wife says its a great bike, as its hers...lol. And yes the pipe will open a wider powerband and more mid to top end power. Sounds great too!! Kinda like a suzuki TL1000...lol....but not as loud. Hope that helped. Let me know what happens. Take care.

Any good atv/motorcycle store will carry the jets. Ask for atv offroad mikuini carb jets. Have fun.
