First where is the best place to get a fan kit ? and has anyone changed tires so they are all the same size front and back ? and how tall of tire did you go to ? what kind of power loss did you get if you changed tires. Thanks

 

I've bought and installed the Suzuki cooling fan. It's very expensive, but has an automatic switch that comes on when the oil temp hits 248 and goes off when the oil temp drops below 230. It also has a handlebar mounted pushbutton switch for manual operation.

Some folks have bought muffin fans from Northern and made their own mounts and electrical hookups.

I saw most of the improvement in the midrange; from about 1/3 to 2/3 throttle. It accelerates much faster now. It didn't do anything for the top end though.

You shouldn't put the same size tires all the way around. It's geared to keep the stock tires in sync. in 4wd. Going to the same size on all 4 will throw that off and your trans will suffer.

If you want bigger tires, you need to go the next size up front AND back.
