Jason,

I would say we had about 30-35 miles on the first run. We didn't manage to hit all of the trails, but maybe next year we can make them all. I'd like to make a run of about 200 miles in a day and venture into WI to ride some of their trails also.

<< Thats a little hard to beleave. stock for stock the banshee was always the winner top end...the 500 would get the banshee down low though.

So your telling me the 500 had a higher stock top speed than a banshee?

yes that we are tliing you.the banshee doesn't have a higher top speed then the lt 500,in fact a stock tecate 4 has a higher top speed then a banshee.and it's been proven time and time again.and in alot of instances i've seen 250r's beat banshee's on top end.banshee's aren't all that believe me.i've owned them all raced them all.

Stock for stock a ATC250 will outrun a shee, with 22 inch rear tires it will waste it.

I am running 20X11X10" holeshots and I just went one tooth bigger in the front. I am hoping I can pull tripple digits on my 'zilla. I am running a 3 mm big bore, Keihn 39mm carb, LRD chrome adjustable exhaust, boyesen reeds, K&N filter w/ no lid.
Any guesses on a top speed? This thing pulls like a freight train. I just sold my modified raptor (spent 3K on the motor) and the zilla would walk all over it.
Not to say the banshee isn't a nice machine or that they dont go. But I will wheelie by them w/ a fist full of throttle.

My buddy Chapy has a 90' Zilla With the Paul Turner National Engine. It got clocked at 107mph!!!! That is the sickest quad I've seen. I'm not sure I wanna go that fast on a quad. It's a bad machine!!!

If you're going to try to run 100+ on a quad, make sure you verify your air pressure in the back tires with a tape measure to insure they are the same diameter or it can be difficult to control if you are on a surface that provides good traction. Also make sure your tires do not have any damage at all, there is an extreme rotational force put on the soft atv tires when spun at these speeds. I think a blowout would not be pretty at that speed.

the big bore kits are available from LRD Performance www.LRDracing.comwww.LRDracing.com
these guys rock! I bought an adjustable chrome pipe from them, my 39mm carb. They do all sorts of port work & head work. I am going to send them my cylinder after I blow my top end again to have it all ported. They know 2 stroke performance.
good luck w/ it.
