I'm going to be picking up my Vinson on Friday. I plan on getting a winch for it, but I'm not sure which one to purchase.

Any recommendations on which one? I read somewhere that Warn needed something extra in order to install it w/o damaging cpu. Also, any ideas on where to find the mounting kit for Warn. atvpartsdepot.com does not have the mount kit for the vinson. I looked on warn's web page and couldn't find it there either.

Superwinch has the mount kit.

As always, thank you in advance for your info.

If you plan on buying a kit from a dealer, plan on spending aroung $100. I have just ordered one from Cabelas for ~$70 with shipping, however it has been backordered.

we have put warn winches on all the vinsons we have sold so far. The mounting kit should all be available at your dealer. I have a seperate soleanoid for the winch but there are no special parts to mounting the winch on the vinson. The warn winch is better than the superwinch in my opinion.

Go with the Warn. Since it's a brand new quad and you're buying the winch from the dealer at the same time, they should install it free for you. My dealer did.
