i was just at a zuki dealership and i was told by the salesman that yosh took all the right to make the exhaust system for the z400. this means that white bro's, fmf and other companies can't make an exhaust system for it. and, i think the guy of full of
****, he said that it yosh's 700 dollar system give 10hp. daymn, that's abit high don't you guys think? he also told me that the stock motor dyno's 38hp at the wheels. that's pretty good. i've been all over this forum about buying a warrior but now i think i'm gonna wait for this "400ex" killer he even claims that it'll beat the raptor but i doubt it.

I had a DRZ400E which is almost the same motor as the quad ( quad is a little tuned down ) and Yosh was the best pipe for sure. They help Suzuki design that motor and they know how to make it fast. They have a 450 kit for the bike, and cams and a better cdi box for it. Bet alot of the bike hop up would work on the quad too. I would get that pipe anyways.... And after owning the bike, I would say that stock, it will take out the EX easy, but it won't have the power of the Raptor, They used the same set up as the DRZ400S motor, which is only 31 or 32 hp.

wow, then maybe it'll be less than 31 hp since it is a "detuned" motor. hmmm, i guess we'll just have to wait and see.

No, it will be close to that, that is what the DRZS makes, the DRZE is what i had and that is near 39 stock, If you look on suzukis web site you can see that the specs on the motor are the same on the Quad as they are the DRZ400S, but different then the DRZ400E. the main difference is the carb, E has flat slide pumper, while the Z400 and the S have the CV carb and the comp is lower, and the cams are different to, but 30-32 would be my guess on the Quad, but that motor has great potential, and in 2000 when I got the DRZ I thought, man it would be sweet if Suzuki made a quad with this motor and it is finnally here, can't wait!
