Make sure you use Slime and not fix-a-flat. Slime doesn't dry up. When changing tires, I will even take the Slime out of the old one and put it into the new one. Fix-a-flat is for emergency purposes only. Slime will rinse right off the rim with a little soap and water or you can just wipe it off with a rag. It does not stick like glue to the rim or tire.

I run Slime in every tire I have both front and rear. I've heard of people say it throws the tire out of balance but haven't experienced it myself.

4 or even 6 ply tires definitely help but won't eliminate the problem of thick thorns.

If you use SLIME in your tires just make sure you tell the mechanic (or whoever) is going to change your tires.I had one that they enver told me it was in there and there was ALOT at least a full bottle in each tire.Hit is with the bead breaker and it blew slime all over me and the shop :/

Wow, that's interesting GreatCanadian. If you want I'm sure I'll be able to send you some seedlings!!! hee hee We have lots of the buggers here and are a good 3 inches long. The buggers are tough enough to go through a tire no problem at all. Ripped a few good jackets on them too. I'm on a SAR team and we have to deal with them on pretty much every search we have in the woods. Be glad you don't have to deal with them.

Well Fido, go back to sleep, continue to lap your *********, the posterior opening of your alimentary canal or practice your expertise in Coprohagia.

Totally off topic and uncalled for Hunt. Just ignore him Nuke. I'd hate to see yet another post go down the gutter.

Forget the slime. It will make the machine handle more rough. It will be noticable over 50 mph. I would not do it! Just get a better tire.
