65HP Zilla...
#1
Hey everyone, had a question in which the answers will mostly be based on opinion.
I am sending my Zilla to a place called "Tudors Performance" for some motor work. They are very familiar with the Zilla case problem, and will fix mine.
(it ONLY took 14 years to wear out, damn Suzuki's..)
Anyway. They are going to be doing this work on it.
"Complete teardown and inspection.
Machine cases and install main
bearing inserts. (permanent fix)
Bore and hone cylinder.
Stage two port job. (no reliability loss)
Modify stock head, polish chamber.
True crankshaft.
Clean and assemble engine with
new piston kit, main bearings, seals
and gaskets."
They are estimating HP increase from the stock 53 to about 65HP after the mods and rebuild at the rear wheels.
The bike was scary fast to begin with. How much of a difference is this going to make, seat of the pants? Thanks for any opinions.

They are located in Riverside, California. They seem to be very reputable from what I have read.
They stand by their work. www.tudorsperformance.com

I have searched and searched and searched these forums and have come up with NOTHING regarding
tudors performance. ZERO threads to date. I challange anyone to find a thread in atvconnection forums that has anything to do with Tudors performance.
I have heard nothing but good things from reading pages that yahoo has brought up.
Yes, the Zilla makes between 50-55 HP in stock form at the rear wheels.
Ill let you guys know how it turns out.

-Matt,
BE VERY CAREFUL! Make sure you do your research, and not all in one place!!
Ask the builder for references... get a couple customer names that he's done work for and call them...
The big shops scare the heck out of me. I've heard horror stories about the majority of them... That's why I picked a small time builder. It's taken WAY longer than expected (Sent motor to him 15th of Feb. and I still don't have it back)
I think that's a fairly common problem... so regardless who you choose, don't be in a hurry.
They all do good work when they want to.... it's the customer service that really shines. Take the time to talk to them about all the mods, etc.
About Tudors: They did a port job for Mr. Dune (Do a net search) on a quadzilla rebuild... but they didn't do any other machine work.. the ports looked really nice.
I have a personal "Stay the hell away from Trinity" story, but I won't take that any further.
(If you want details, Email me)
Good luck! It's not easy finding a good shop.
