I've got 91 lt250r does the Clymer 85-88 cover my motor exactly? I was given this 250. Don't know anything about it. The motor has sat for 6 months needing a new top end, but when I picked it up the bottom end was exposed, so I am taking it apart to clean it and put in new seals, bearings, whatever. what do I clean the gears, clutch, bearings, inside case with?(Gunked up) How do you get the clutch basket nut loosened. Is there a special tool to hold the basket or do you hold the drive sprocket to loosen the nut, is it reverse thread?

Buy the Clymer for the 92 LT250 and that will tell you everything. The Suzuki Manual is probably better, but they're usually overpriced. Check Ebay under "quadracer" "LT250" "LT250R" and manual in the search box, there is always something there.

I've never seen one for a 92 where can I get one? All Ebay has is 85-88 for the moment.

Call your local dealers and ask if they have them/can get them. If Clymer doesn't make one, which I tought they did, you'll have to get the Factory manual.

I got the basket off, I think my balancer is 180 deg off, quad vibrated too much when running. At TDC the gear marks are opposite each other at BDC they line up. When I searched they said 3 marks must line up at TDC. Wheres third mark? I have the motor right next too me, any help would be welcome.

Thanks Itracerx, what about a cleaning agent that won't hurt the bearings, seals, etc..

Can I use carb cleaner, will this hurt the seals or should I use gas and a soft brush?

I dunno about carb. cleaner. The gas idea should be fine, just don't rip your seals with that wire brush.
