I think I've ruled FMF out and my remaining 2 are either Paul Turner Midrange or the CT Midrange. Anyone run a CT or heard anything about them? BTW, this is for a '87 LT250R.

I just spent a weeks looking for the best pipe as well as prices for my 91 lt 250.. I went with the FMF fatty pipe and got great bottom to top end power gaines. It's a tight fit but it does not hit the frame and it looks great and sounds geat.. Rocky Mountain atv.com has the best price that I found, $169.00.

With your FMF fatty pipe can you get at all the head nuts/studs, can/could you take the head off without taking the pipe off, does the pipe even come close to the head?

I have the adjustable chrome LRD pipe, it's a great pipe but a little pricey. It does come very close to the head, you have to remove the pipe to get the head off. It's a tight fit but the sound, looks, and performance are awesome.

THe FMF fatty pipe comes close to the head I had to round out a spot so the head would not be to close, but you cant see it. Geting to the head bolts would very hard if not impossable. Taking it off is easy once you have done it a few times. My budy has a older FMF pipe, not a fatty pipe he really likes. His fits better than the fatty pipe but the fatty looks killer.....
