I am considering one of these 2 machines in 2wd. I have recently bought some land and I am needing a machine that can work hard and still be fun when I go trail riding. Money is tight so I have to stay with something around $4000. Anyone compare the 2 before? Any Eiger 2wd owners out there? How is it as a trail machine? I am looking at the auto but haven't ruled out the 5 speed yet. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I have a 02 Eiger 2x4 auto $4,399.00. So far I like it. Plenty of power to spare. I use mine mainly for hunting in GA and riding the trails here in FL. I'm not sure if I like the auto yet, too soon to tell lol. It has a nice ride and steers great. My engine seems kinda loud, the dealer said they would check it out when I bring it in for the 10 hour check up. I too was looking at the Big Bear but choose the Eiger. More power, larger bike, oil cooler, you just get more bike for the money. Good luck

WhenI bought my rancher i had seriously considered the big bear....i looked at the eiger as well....both are great bikes, but in my opinion, the big bear will be a more reliable machine...a friend of mine has the eiger and he hasn't had any problems...about 150 hours on the machine....i have driven it and i think it's a great bike....i think it's faster than the big bear with a little more power, but i would still choose the big bear.
