How do you think the Z400 will compare with the Raptor?

I am curious to see how well they handle on the trails and for "play" riding. Nothing can compare to a modded LT500 in the sand, just ask all those poor Banshee's with extended swigarm's, pipes, ported, and god know's what else, that got left behind this weekend by a certain Zilla.

Oh my God. Did someone mention the LT250r's reliability? This coming from a Raptor guy is too much. Poor chain adjustment? My chain adjustment plate is all a Raptor will ever see, anyway.
The Raptor is outgunned out in the open by half a dozen different bikes. I've seen the Raptor on the MX track and it was a disappointment. A lightly modded EX ate it up, so my question is; will it ever find a niche all to itself.

I escpecially like the Raptors reliability.... I haven't heard a good thing about those quads yet, even from the owners... I've heard ALOT of bad mouthing for yami mech's, and seen enough of them in the shop to know better than to want a Raptor.. So its not even a choice for me.

After owning most sport quads over the years.....I could probably compile a list of problems with each quad....not just the Raptor. Here is one example...the lt500.
1st LT500 I owned - Seized when 1 day old - after landing a small jump, the foot peg broke off and the rear tire ate my leg at one week old. On the up side, it would sit still and smoke tires through 3 gears with no brakes applied on pavement.
Thats no slam on the LT500, I am just trying to prove to you guys that NO QUAD IS PERFECT (by the way, I am looking for a clean LT500 diligently NOW). I can't believe no-one has trouble with their quads occasionally......is everyone that brand loyal? Do you tell anyone when your Suzuki Sidekick breaks down....or keep things hush hush?

Ok, I am having some serious trouble right now. I had to much play in the cylinder, one of the piston rings worked its way around till the gap came in contact with one of the intake ports and snatched the ring off. The ring got stuck on the side of the piston, destroyed the piston, gauged the cylinder sleeve, and chunks of it chewed up my head. Got to have a new cylinder, piston, gasket kit, but I think the head is salvageable, if not I'm going with a cool head.

ok....tell ur friend that he is full of shiot cuz there is no way a liquid cooled motor only puts out 2 more hp than an air cooled motor. not to mention the compression ratio differnce....11:3:1 compared to 9:1:1......end of convo.

Alex, add a high compression piston (only) in a 400ex and you would only pick up a couple horses. But, thats 2 horses everywhere, with a corresponding torque value as well. Probably just have to wait and see what kind of power the Z has. Would be a bummer to buy one and immediately have to mod it up to par.
