Aftermarket air filter for Z400?
#1
Does anyone know of any aftermarket air filters for the Z400? White Bros. has their own listed on their website, but does Uni, K&N, or Twin-Air have one yet. Does anyone know anything about White Bros air filters. Also, I've seen some posts about running without the airbox lid, Has anyone done any airbox mods yet.

i'm sure k&n's universal filter will fit but i'm sure it won't be long till the aftermarker manufacturers will catch on (much like everything else). like with everything else, i don't recommend running it without the airbox lid even though it's very restrictive since you will do more harm than good to the engine.
one mod i'm thinking of doing is replacing the lid with a sock type material. like the one's that go over the k&n filters.

I removed the snorkel and lid on my Z-400 and it ran like crap. After I rejetted, it ran good and strong. The stock main in mine was a #125. I had to go up to a #145. I'm also at 4500 ft. elevation. I want to get a little more bottom end out of my Z. I have my Yoshi exhaust on order and hopefully it will get here soon and I can post the performance results.

If you are speaking of the White Brothers PowerFilter then you are speaking of one of the best foam filters available. It will flow more air than your z400 could possibly take in and yet provides better filtering than stock. It will not fall apart either.
I have 4 Raptor PowerFilters. I keep several ready to go at all times in plastic bags. I change my air filter about every 8 hours of riding.
