I have never owned or ridden a sport quad but it is a lot of fun and handles great. It is light enough that you can throw it around on the trails and to me it difinitely has a sporty feel to it. It can also handle small jumps just fine, not sure if it can handle big ones or not and did not buy it for that purpose. We ride through woods, mud and some open dirt trails along the bayous and it handles everything great. We do not have much for hills around here except when you cross the bayous and it makes it up the rough steep embankments with no problem.
