I am intrested in the Ozark 250, I will be riding on trails in the woods, some parts will be tough and rockey, but is 250cc enough for this, my friends say it is, but im not sure. How fast can I go on this little ****??

I'm 6'1" and 230 lbs. Any of my quads {see sig} have plenty of power for trail riding. They won't win any drag races, but that isn't what they are made to do. Ride a few yourself and decide, it's your money! Spend it wisely.

Took the Ozark and Recon out today on a long trail ride in the Ocala Nat'l Forest. We found some wide fast trails to open them up on. I was on the Ozark, My friend John was on the Recon. I weigh 230, John 180. The Ozark was slightly faster under all conditions we encountered even with the 50 lb difference. They handle nearly identically. The brakes are a little better on the Ozark but hard to notice unless used very hard. I was able to pull along side John when I was the chaser and opened up a small gap when he was chasing me. Very small the speed difference. The 2002 Recon has more HP and would likely be an even match. This was the first time I opened up the Ozark as break-in is complete. As far as actual speed in number I can't tell, but it was way fast enough to get hurt and way fast enough to have an absolute blast! John did a little off-trail bush removal while trying to chase me & the Ozark, both rider and Recon were ok though. BTW, in a straight open field run my Bayou 220 will pull the Recon just a tiny bit on top speed too, but that was with a weight advantage for the Bayou of about 40 lbs. I own all 3 of these quads and I like them all. Maybe one day just for fun I'll adapt an updated front suspension on the Bayou 220 {maybe off a Lakota?} and see how that helps as the Kawi is lacking in the F suspension dept. That would be fun.

I have an Ozark and clocked it at 50-51 with me on my sp500 HO and my cousin at 185 lbs on the Ozark. He has a 2001 Bayou 220 and the Ozark is about 4-5 mph faster and feels much stronger when trail riding. It is a great bike and very fun to ride.

So how would you consider this quak, is it more sporty than utility (even though it looks like a utility), more utility than sport, or a sport utility? How would you rate this quad overall?
Thanks.
Thanks.
