King Quad Oil Temp Light?
#1
Ok something weird this weekend. Kids were on the KQ for a while, park it. A bit later my wife follows me on the KQ while I'm driving a tractor back to a friends house. I get on it and the oil temp light is on. I shut it down, check it out and everything seems to be ok. I drive down the roads slowly (temps in the 60's in east texas)...still on. I let it idle while running water over the cooler...still on. I let it sit for a while, still on. I trace the wire to the 2 pole sending unit on the right side of the engine. I pull the connection and the light goes out. plug in the connection and the light is on. Let it sit over night and the light is still on!! Knowing it's not hot I let the kids ride for a while, later it goes off.
I haven't had a chance to refer to the owners manual yet.
Any thoughts, just a sticking sending unit? Anyone have a manual handy on what it means when the oil temp light comes on (besides the obvoius that is).
Thanks,
Rob
