Canadian Z400's get first recall
#11
Sorry people, I do not have a digital camera to take pictures of my quad. I made my own skid plates out of black HDPE plastic. The carbon fibre patches I also made myself. I used 9 oz plain weave carbon fiber and the Cold Cure epoxy. This epoxy is not UV stable, so I had to clear coat it. I had a local machinist make the nerf bars out of chromoly tubing as he said 6061 aluminum looses to much tensile strength when welded( 45000psi before and about 16000 psi after welding), the webbing was done by a local manufacturer of sports bags. Total cost of the nerfs was 274.38 after taxes.Airbox modification is a 3"x3" hole. Bbertram you do not have to take your quad in, they may have caught yours before you picked it up today. If not have them give it to you the next time you are in the dealership.

Pan,
Chromoly nerfs, how much do you weigh?LOL The welding statement is true if you don't heat treat it.
How much do your Nerfs weigh?
I'll be having my webs redone at some point, to make them fit better on my AC's.

Smitty,
It is not that I weigh a lot(180 lbs.), it is that for less money I have nerfs that will take more of a beating. I never did weigh them but, I would guess they weigh about 15 lbs for the pair
