I'm currently considering a pretty good deal on a 92 quadracer 250 that needs some work. It needs the rear shock rebuilt or replaced , new upper(and possibly lower) a-arms for one side. Also, the front fenders are shaved and the rear fender is cracked. Mechanically it's all stock and seems to be in good shape other than the parts it needs. I own a tecate 4 and that's tough to get aftermarket parts but not impossible. OEM parts are limited especially plastics. I also have a 250R and that's easy to find ANYTHING for. How's the quadracer for finding parts? Does suzuki still carry all the plastics? how much if yes? Ebay cuirrently has no rear shock or a-arms available. Where would you look for them if you needed them? Any good shops online or elsewhere for a good selection??

Do you know what what plastic yellow pieces would cost from suzuki? The blue parts are in good shape.

East Coast ATV wants $292 for the back and $204 for the front. I looked in their online parts finder. I'd just get the new shiny maier plastic. You can pick up both for $240. Just look in the ads in Dirtwheels.

First of all have the rear shock rebuilt and revalved for riding style, this should cost you around $150 bucks. East Coast is a excellent place to get used parts. I've bought tons of stuf for my 86 & 91 quadraces there including 2 91 frames. Yes the frames have a couple of weak points if you race them. One is by the peg on the shifter side. I would look the frame over very closly before buying. I just purchase a frame for my and was told the the supply of frames were small. As for the fenders maier is the way to go. They make the race front or factory front. Make sure you ask for the shiny ones or they'll sell you the dull ones instead.
Here is a link to a parts finder on factory parts: http://216.37.204.206/alba/Suzuki_OEM/SuzukiATV.asp
Aftermarket companies make a good bit of hop-up for this quad, but not as many as the honda 250r.
hope this helps.
