Me Too! I went 5 clicks in on my rebound (1.25 turns and can go in 11 more clicks until it stops) and a half turn out on compression. Turned the fronts a click softer and it kicks straight off the jumps now and stays planted in the woops. I'm like 210 and although it might need just a little more adjusting, it's so close now and I'm just happy as hell. You should not need to change the adjustable spring unless you weigh over the max 243 lbs or are doing some crazy specialized jumping. It comes with a spring rate changer. Crank that adjuster around, you are actually changing the spring rate. Stiffer, softer, that's about all that does, but how cool is that.

Yeah,if the spring can be set for someone that heavy you shouldn't need a heavier spring rate.Another thing that I've found some dealers(atleast mine)are putting to much/little air pressure in the tires.

The reason Suzuki or yamaha don't use the eccentic type chain adjuster is that Honda own's some patent rights on that type.So they would have to pay them to use it!

Plain and simple I rode it at the ST. park yesterday and I was bunny hopping in 2nd gear all of the small water breaks and the axle must have bent again. I didn't hit crap, land wrong or jump too high. It is weak!! Both tires wobble again! I weigh 180 and the suspension bottoms out on even the small jumps. Everybody is trippin if they don't think the 400ex soaks the jumps up better. I think Z400 is faster and handles better but sucks at landing jumps!!! The atv should not be marketed as an aggresive sport quad if it can't handled small jumps from a 180lb rider. I let one of my buddies ride it (he has a 400ex) and he came back from riding just around the trail in my yard and he said it is nice but it bottomed out on most of the jumps. He said he was not even hitting it too hard b/c it was mine!!! IT DEFINATELY NEEDS BETTER SHOCKS AND A STRONGER AXLE!!!! I like everything else on it but what good is it if you can't even jump the jumps through a state park. I have have a very bad back (ruptured disc and 3 cracks along my lower spine) and just had knee surgery in Feb so I am not jumping this atv like I would my 400ex AT ALL and I am already having these problems. I am calling my dealer today! I think Suzuki should of had me test their new atv in real everyday riding, I would have shown the faults in the first week!

It must just be your quad, cause i over shot a double by like 15 feet, and i had knee surgry in sept. and i landed real hard and my knee popped again and my axle is still fine

I have wheel wobble on my right rear tire. I don't know if its a bent axle or a rim but I'll know tonight when I check the axle. Is it ok to ride with a bent axle? The wheel wobble is not huge, I wouldn't of even noticed it if I didn't put it on the stand last night.

I was a little puzzled by GT Thunder's comments on the Z400 "push." My 400EX had more push than this thing does, plus, moving weight rearward (their 'fix' is a longer swingarm) adds to push. Or, is the problem that I'm not an aggressive-enough rider (not enough throttle)?
