(this is a repost-since my last thread was deleted)

I finally got to race my new LTZ this weekend, and am happy with the results-

Raced a stock '01 400ex with a 120lb rider(Im 180)- won everytime-no problem. I wasn't even powershifting at first- after I started that it was a even easier win.

I ran against two different Banshees- my friends new '01 (stock) and a '96 (supposedly stock). I won everytime we raced! I ran my buddy on it 3 times, one was close because I wheelied a little much in 2nd, but still stayed ahead. I then raced his banshee with his gf piloting (she was the 120lb rider on the ex) reapetedly and never lost, granted, my buddy is a bit of a better rider- but he also weighs about 190..

The '96 Banshee was a one time deal- I think he thought it would be an easy win- he didn't mention racing after i beat him..

*NOTE* My last thread was flamed by PRO YAMAHA Gu-ro's who were in total disbelief of the above - So in a closing note, my friends banshee does seem about equal when we are side to side- but In a drag race its who finishes first- Not who can pull on the other guy. I feel with as many times as we ran- and with me never losing, that this was not a fluke- ANOTHER NOTE-- These were STOCK quads- I realize that a banshee with pipes would be a different race- so no need to bother telling me.

This is a one time reply to you-

I don't care what you "believe".

I do apologize that it bothers you enough to try to get it deleted- but I won't bother to ask why

So I take it you've raced a Banshee against a LTZ then, right?

MY POINT EXACTLY

If you don't have anything but your opinion to add-then stay out of the conversation

JCV,

Nobody's post will be deleted because you don't believe what they say. If the post was removed, it was for some other reason.

Once my Z400 is all broken in and I feel comfortable on it I will race the local 250r trike. I bet I'll get waxed but it will be fun.

I beleive it, kind of. We all now that the Z is not "all-out" faster than a Shee, but maybe in these conditions the Z is faster. Where were you racing? Banshee's have a bad problem of not hooking up, especially with the sh1tty tires that come stock on them.

True Lt- we were racing in hardpack dirt. But its not my fault they don't hook up, is it? Should I not consider it a win because they were probably spinning too much?? I deal with wheelies- they deal with tirespin..

i raced a bunch off people this weekend. We raced up a sand hill called bull gap. All the stock 400ex I raced I beat...I assume they were stock or at least not 440s. The two 440ex that i raced i won and I lost The guy that i beat came up and complimented me on my quad. I asked if he had the 440 kit and he said "yeah I got that and the cam and the works" and then said he really like my quad. The 440ex that beat me was my cousin and his is got all the goodies plus he put a 16 tooth front spocket on. He could consistently beat me buy a couple lenghts. I beat one or two raptors but i think that was just rider ability because i got beat buy some too. After doing this i decide to try my gekos and they got me out of the hole faster but i think they scraped some top end off cuz my cousin could still beat me and the guy with raptor had paddles and he was still beating me about the same. We then put my gekos on my cousins 440ex and i beat him every time. He did not have the power for that much tire with his higher gearing. Also when i had the gekos on my buddy with his ltz was catching me at the top and he out weighs me and i can normally beat him because of that. Next i raced a 250r (he had paddles and at least a pipe and silencer my paddles were in the trailer) i beat him the first time but it was close and after that he kept beating me buy a bit more than my cousin was. I also raced a 250 quadracer and he beat me the worst. he said that it was bored, ported and polised with rad valves a pipe and silencer and he had paddles also.

here is a couple other comments:
i have adjusted the front shocks as stiff as they will go and have been hitting some good sized jumps and havent noticed any problems. also we put a level across the lowest part of my seat and it is about 3/4" HIGHER than my cousins ex and measuring to the out side of the rear wheels my ltz is about 1/2" or more wider. I put his stock 400ex tires on my z and i really like them they seem to slide around corners more predictable but still hook up almost as well as my stock ones.

this post was not to make anyone upset. i just wanted to post my results
