Just installed a twist throttle on my z. Used a vortex motion pro throttle assembly and had the throttle cable made at terry cable (located in Apple Valley California). It took them one day to make the cable, they were great. If interested just give them a call and tell them a worker named Abel made the cable. He should have the correct measurements for the cable written down already.

( please no thumb throttle/twist throttle comments, What can I say I have a wuss thumb. Twist until I die)

 

I am a twister also, I suppose its because I grew up on bikes but I want that thumb wrapped down around the hand grip especially when in I land hard off a jump. All my other ATVs have been converted to a twist throttle and so will my Z400, thanks for the information, I might look into it soon.
