QUADRACER LT 500 2 STROKE????
#1
I am in the market for a quad. I just went and looked at a 250r atc and was also considering the RAPTOR. I have recently discovered the lt 500. I read somewhere that you can get 70 hp out of them. It seems like a 500 2 stroke would be bad ***!!! Any info you guys can give me would be much appreciated. Thanx!!!
This one has a gsxr 1100 motor and does 10 sec's

The lt500s were the fastest quads ever made, you can get far more than 70hp out of them with some money. You dont sound like you know much about quads yet, so I would stay away from this one. Ask anyone out there who know their stuff, and they will tell you that the lt500 was one of the most, if not THE most unreliable quad ever built. The next best 2-stoke is a banshee, and its far more reliable. (not to mention you'll be kicking raptor a$$ on a banshee)

Well lets see.....I think the tecate 4 wasn't faster than the shee....and the raptor is quite a bit faster than the shee stock. So,it comes about 3rd actually? I don't know much about the r's except hondas so,I may be wrong. All I know is the Shee is one of the quads that responds the best to mods or if it is the quad that responds the best to mods.

The Banshee is not "quite a bit slower than a Raptor". I don't know where people come up with this. I think they ar very cloe though. Anyway, Zilla's are reliable once you get the main bearing problem fixed, and take care of it!

I will argue this to the death.
Zillas are reliable if the main bearing problem is fixed and the bike is
kept up. (like LTracer said)
I know this. I own one.
The folks who say the Zilla is the "most unreliable quad ever" have no exp. with one.
Pure ignorance.
ps. The Zilla will roost past any production quad to date.
If your new to quads, I dont think you should just go and jump
on a Quadzilla.

Mr350x, you have no right to be calling me, or anyone else on this post ignorant. And its not only people who havnt owned zillas who say they are unreliable. The last time I was in glamis, I talked to a former zilla owner who told me stories about getting 8 hours to a piston, and still hating it after having the bearing problem fixed, and then ruining another piston and then his crank. So he sold it for a baja ds. He misses the power but says its not worth the trouble unless you really enjoy replacing the same parts over and over again.
