wutsup? i have a slightly modified 1997 honda 300ex, that im getting kind of bored with (sometimes its fun, but getting spanked by banshees and 400ex's and a raptor is getting old) i want to trade it in for a suzuki z400, but i need to know, would it be better to trade in, or sell the quad, and then use that money towards a down payment on the z400? which would give me more money towards the down payment? ill be riding trails, and a couple MX tracks, on a trail would it pop unsuspected wheelies? hows are they with jumps? (tablestops, doubles, and singles) how much of a diffrence will i notice in top end speeds from the 300ex? are their any aftermarket pipes for it out? new plastics? twist throttle kit? it takes me a few weeks toget used to a quad, will it be hard to get used to the z400?

btw, this will be my second quad, and im 16

any help would be appreciated

Well this is my first ever sport quad and let me tell you, its so awesome. I have driven 4x4 quads for the last 15 years and I have never driven a dirt bike before. So for me a sport quad was something totally new, the clutch was new to me, the feel of the quad was new. Now I can ride it very good and I have only driven it for 2 weekends now. So if I can learn it with no prior sport quad experience then you should pick it up too because you have some sport quad experience. You won't regret buying the Z400, its fun.

also does anyone live in houston around srping area and know any places to ride? i havnt had my quad here in lil over a year, and last places i knew that were quad friendly were out at san jacinto mx track and the trails passed old town spring.....any new places? thx for all replys, i really cant wait to get the z400, but my main concern is financing, ive never bought a new quad from a retailer, my honda was from a guy who had already fixed it up, so what should i expect payments to be? (like 50-200$ a month?).....thx again

I would sell the 300ex. I think you'll get screwed on the trade in. I've got a Z400, it is my first quad, and I haven't had any problems getting used to it.
