Only problem I've had so far is the brake light getting out of adjustment. The power is great and with the addition of a few accessories from Trinity I hope to have it even better. I'll also be glad when someone makes a front sprocket so I can gear this thing a little lower.

Octane booster is not the same as dumping a gallon of race fuel in. Try it gets a nice snap added.

Oh sorry then try the octane booster. It might not give it the extra oomph that I got from mine though. Good luck

octane booster is not so good for quads, I wouldnt reccomend it, stick with high quality pump gas until you get somewhere youcan buy real race gas, I run 110 in my cannibal and I love it. But I was also looking at putting octane booster in mine and everyone was saying no good,
just an FYI
glad to hear you all love your Z's

Hey guys, we've got an e-mail list for LTZ owners. It's much like the very successful 400ex list.

Lazarus Sommers (GT Thunder) frequents the list and enjoys intelligent discussion and questions, and is willing to talk about his modifications. For any of you unfamiliar, he's done a ton of dyno and track testing on the new LTZ.

The list has also got facilities for posting pictures, files, etc...

These lists are NON-COMMERCIAL and I don't profit or benefit from them in any way (except for the knowledge shared), so I'm pretty sure posting this info here is not against forum rules (but you never know )...

For what it's worth, we also run a Cannondale e-mail list as well..

I know about octane booster not being the greatest thing, but I don't think it will hurt a carb it will screw with fuel injected though. I like the e-mail list I think I am already in the cannondale one. I don't use octane booster, I am with you on the race gas...Have not tried it in the cannondale...Couldn't hurt though.

Can high octane(race fuel)be used all the time, for all rideing conditions without harm?

Just curious, in the manuals, I've only seen minimum requirements, nothing on max!

Later...

you can use it all the time, especially with high compression engines! if you ahve a Z or a Dale you got a high compression engine and race gas is the best for that, actually much better than pump gas.

Wow, this turned into a race gas thread after one simple comment by me about what it says you can run. Glad to see I left a little door open so everyone who knows what gas is could comment.

Anyway, Race gas might be another thread. The stuff from the pump contains crap we don't need, is oxygenated (pre-burnt) aounrd here and it just not as consistent as some special purpose and refined racing fuel. 110 might be a lot of octane and retard timing. Try 100 for the same "good fuel" benefits wihtout overdoing the octane numbers and supressing combustion.
