There are a couple of suzuki 250R's in my area for sale, both late 80's models. Are there any known problems with these bikes. I don't know anything about the suzuki two strokes and was just wondering.

87-92 are preferable, 91 and 92 are the best. Look out for cracks on the frame around the lower A-Arms, check swingarm for cracks, look for both adjuster bolts on rear of the swingarm, and always look at the swingarm and rear axle bearings by grabing the grab bar and wiggle the quad from side to side there should be no play in axle or swingarm. Basically its a great quad I have had mine for 3 years and I love it but remember its 10+++ years old stuff is going to wear out if it hasn't been properly cared for.
