do you think that it would be a good idea to buy one now, or wait untile next year so they can get some of the kinks out of it? also does anyone know how fast the 400 goes?

don't wait. If you wait you will always be waiting for something better. You might as well get one and enjoy it. Next year will come and say Polaris comes out with a sportquad.....now what do you want a Z that might have a stronger axle or some awsome machine from Polaris? If you chose the polaris it will be their first year and there is a good chance it will have some bugs to work out.

the only thing that i would have waited for is white plastic, which comes out in october. but since this i didnt by the z just for looks, the color isnt a big factor. just buy one!

There hasn't been any major kinks from any of the owners I've seen. The motor is proven to be good and I have not heard of any electrical issues.
So far, only a few bent axles but that stuff always happens. As long as it's covered, no big deal.

I love my Z. (I have typed that so many times)hehehe I have had no bugs. As a matter of fact, it seems to be very solid. I've jumped it, mudded it, water crossed it, trailed it, duned it, etc. and nothing's ever gone wrong with the exception of the stupid brake light spring coming loose which is a super easy fix. Anyhow, enough of being inside, I'm off to enjoy my bike s'more!
peace

I have owned over 30 atc's and atv's since I was 13 in 1983 and I have to openly agree that the Z400 is as fine a ride as any of them. Looking back, I had a complaint about nearly every atv or atc I ever owned but the Z is near flawless.

I had a bad taste for Suzuki's because one of my early rides was an 84 Suzuki 125cc three wheeler. It was a hunk of garbage and I got it brand new. I am not referring to the fact that it had no suspension, it was just cheatly built. I like to refer to it as the "Yugo" of its era. I have always had great luck with Honda's I got a new 84' 200S Honda three wheeler with only front suspension. I NEVER changed the oil or checked the air filter and it ran and ran like a tank.

I know I sound like a Suzuki commercial, but get a Z. I havent been this excited about a quad since my 87 Honda 250R.
