lt500r water pump

I dunno, mine seems to work alright. I did put all new seals in the pump not to long ago, and also had the radiator flushed and pressure tested, along with an inline cooler and a Cool Head, so that may have helped, too......Check all the hoses and stuff to make sure nothing is restricted, and that your radiator fins aren't all bent over or something. Who knows, maybe you just need to ride faster to get more air flowing through the radiator

You must have something else going on thunder...
I've never came close to overheating my 500. I do know that if the impeller nut (Left hand threads) has ever came loose, the impeller can come loose and grind the daylights out of the housing, causing a reduced efficiency in the waterpump... needless to say really hurting the impeller itself in the process...
I dunnno, maybe worth a look under the cover.
